Student Events

CIT  is a diverse and friendly learning community where students progress well in their studies and we are very proud of their achievements.

With the wonderful ambience created for intellectual growth and the tireless efforts of the Staff members, the Students of CIT have been performing exceedingly well in academics ever since the inception of the institution in 2009. Our students have secured an average result of 75% in every subject in the University Examinations held till now.

Students have presented papers and bagged prizes in National and International Conferences held in different parts of the country. To enrich their practical knowledge, Students are encouraged to attend Technical Workshops conducted in premier institutions. Workshops were also organized by the respective departments inviting experts from different domains where students in large number participated and got benefitted. Invited lectures of Industrialists and Inspirational talks of Successful individuals have also been organized to encourage and hone the skills of students. Technical Symposia have been organized by the institution for the students to explore, exhibit and share Technical knowledge with the best brains of the country.

Though a professional Institute, CIT attaches due importance to Physical Education. Students of our institution have been regularly participating in Intercollegiate Sports meet organized in and around Pondicherry, University Sports meet and Carnival Sports meet. Our students have emerged runners in the Intercollegiate Cricket Championship organized by PEC.It is our pride that some of our students have been selected for participating in National level Inter University Sports meet in games such as Volleyball, Football, Shuttle Badminton and Chess.

CIT has established itself as a pioneer in bagging prizes and has been performing well in intercollegiate Cultural and Literary Activities conducted in and around Pondicherry. One of our students has also won first place in Tatoo Art Painting at PECOFES 2020 organized by Pondicherry Engineering College. The Institutions’ Orchestra and Variety team have attracted the attention of the gathering at various competitions. The students of CIT have also proved their excellence in Literary Events and have won cash prizes in Inter collegiate Literary Competitions.

Apart from Curriculum and Extra Curricular activities, the institution also encourages students to involve themselves in Social Work through the National Service Scheme Units. The National Service Scheme units conducted camps in remote villages of Pathukannu region region and the people of the villages have benefitted from the camp. Yoga, Free Eye check up, Cleaning of ponds, Laying roads etc.. The students have participated in various Awareness Rallies held in Pondicherry. The NSS unit has organized Blood donation camp in CIT. 

Every year Women’s day is being celebrated on 8^th March and girl students are actively participating and show their cultural performance.  The technical talents of students were utilized in conduct of the Assembly and Parliamentary Elections.
